What is Modern Square Dancing?

Modern Square Dancing is dancing to current music. There are 35 moves to learn at the basic level. No, not all on the first night! - a couple a week. These steps are then made into plenty of combinations, either in a large circle or in groups of eight dancers. Students generally graduate after their first year at the basic level. As you progress into Mainstream there are an additional 20 moves however, the list can expand.
